Why Oregon Ducks QB Marcus Mariota Did Not Enter the Draft After Last Season

No one would have been surprised if Oregon Ducks quarterback Marcus Mariota had entered the draft after last season. With two solid seasons under his belt he had certainly given scouts more than enough to drool over. Instead he decided to return to Oregon for at least one more season rather than make a few million in the NFL next season.

Why on Earth would someone do that? Well....

There is actually a pretty good reason--and not just because there was a glut of quality quarterbacks entering the draft last year. No, it was because he knew he would have the coolest season a kid could hope for if he returned to Oregon.

Why? All he would have to do is play football and relax. Here's the cool part--to relax he just has to go to class.

How is he getting away with this? Is he doing like Johnny Manziel did last season and trying not to spend too much time on campus? Nope.

He's already graduated.

The millions would be nice, but if he can do without it for another year this season is going to be the most relaxing one of his life. All he has to do is play football, golf, and take yoga. Practice may not always be fun, but since he never gets hit it can't be that bad for him.

So--does that sound like a good reason to return. Yeah, I think so too.
