Doesn't Sound Good For Philadelphia Eagles RB Darren Sproles [UPDATE]

Former New Orleans Saints running back Darren Sproles has proven to be one of the smartest acquisitions that the Philadelphia Eagles front office has made since hiring Chip Kelly away from Oregon. Pairing him up with LeSean McCoy has given the Eagles a dynamic 'lightening and lightening' combo that defenses hate (because thunder is over-rated).

It appears that there is a chance the Eagles may have to do without him for an undetermined period of time.

Sproles went down with a knee injury against the Giants Sunday night. He was able to make it off the field under his own power, but this information was shared with fans during the game:

The team is likely going to be getting further tests done over the next couple of days. Hopefully the results will be happier news.

[UPDATE, 12:57 PM 10/13]

It's not great news, but it could certainly be a lot worse:

Look at it this way Eagles fans--it's not season ending and you'll get him back in time to make a good, strong playoff push.
