However, n light of some recent comments by Ward you have to wonder if it was all fun and games on the field, but off something else entirely.

"I put the blame on Ben Roethlisberger. Todd Haley's not calling the plays.. Ben is" -@mvp86hinesward on #Steelers OC Todd Haley on hot seat
— PFTonNBCSN (@PFTonNBCSN) October 15, 2014
Ouch.
The Steelers have been struggling on offense lately, and really haven't been the same since Bruce Arians was let go a few years and Todd Haley brought in. For the most part the blame has been laid on Haley and his offense not really fitting the personnel the Steelers have.
But it seems Ward thinks differently.
Scenarios like this always seem a little off. On one hand there is the question of loyalty. Yes, as an analyst he has a job to do, but plenty of former players have remained loyal to their team after entering the studio. However, when it's something inflammatory like this it reeks of someone screaming for attention.
He'll get plenty of attention, but he's not going to like any of it.
