Texas Longhorns Their Own Worst Enemy Against Oklahoma [GIFs]
When it comes to a rivalry game teams will always play better than they have been. There is just something about beating the tar out of that team you hate with a passion that is so satisfying. When you look at the first half stats for the Red River Rivalry between Texas and Oklahoma you would think the Longhorns have done just that (200+ yards offense for UT; 29 for OU).
Yet Texas was down 17-13 since they can't seem to get out of their own way.
Penalties and flat out stupid mistakes have killed the Longhorns so far, but even with them they have not played a bad game. Since gaffes like the snap below forced them to accept a field goal and the Sooners have 14 points off turnovers and special teams they are the first team this season to be loosing after dominating a team like they have.
