WATCH: Packers QB Aaron Rodgers Pulls Off the Dan Marino Fake Spike Play to Set Up Game Winning TD

Jets fans will remember the play well. With the game on the line and the Dolphins driving everyone thought Dan Marino was going to spike the ball to stop the clock. Instead--with the defense not paying attention since they expected the spike--he threw the game winning touchdown.

Since that fateful day many have tried to emulate Marino's fake spike play, but few have succeeded quite like Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers did against Marino's old team.

With time ticking the Dolphins expected Rodgers to spike the ball, but instead he tossed an easy reception to Davante Adams to move the Packers to within a few yards of the end zone.

They scored on the next play, a four-yard pass to Andrew Quarless, to win the game (see GIF above).
