Wazzu QB Connor Halliday Slacks Off Against Stanford; Only Passes for 292 Yards

Mike Leach just wants to pass the ball. Forget the running game. Forget playing defense. Let's just sling the ball around 60-70 times a game and see what happens. It doesn't always equate to wins (2-4 this season), but it does make for some exciting games (like last week's record setting 734 yard day).

Of course he can only get away with it because he has a talented quarterback that can throw across his body with accuracy like Connor Halliday.

Here's another look at the play above that closed the gap to 24-17 in the third.

Stanford ended up winning 34-17 in the end. The odds were just too-stacked in favor of Stanford and their No. 1 scoring defense (also No. 2 in total defense and passing defense. Halliday ended up having just 292 yards on the night; less than half of what he had last week.

Slacker.

(Just kidding).
