Anyone that has grown up in Texas knows what next Thursday is. No, not Thanksgiving—or at least not just Thanksgiving. It’s—or was--Game Day.

A sad thing happened back in 2011. One of the longest running and greatest rivalries in sports—Texas versus Texas A&M--came to an end. Generations of college football fans in the Lone Star State had grown up watching the Big Game every Thanksgiving (or the day after sometimes).
It was something people looked forward to, made bets with their friends who supported the other team, and talked about at length before and after the game. Like any good rivalry, season records meant little going in to this game where a win would truly make the victor’s season....
