WATCH: Pittsburgh Steelers DB William Gay Celebrates Pick-6 By 'Silencing' the Steeler-Friendly Crowd

Pittsburgh Steelers defensive back William Gay was given a present by Tennessee Titans rookie quarterback Zach Mettenberger with a pretty easy pick-6. The receiver wasn't even looking, but that was probably because the ball was behind him and in a great place for someone else to catch and run the other way with.

So William Gay did.

What's interesting about the whole play though was his choice of celebrations. For some reason Gay opted to go with the LeBron James 'silencer' move; something he likes to do after a big play that just broke a hostile crowd and 'silenced' them.

Normally on the road this would be appropriate, but there seemed to be more Terrible Towels in the crowd than Titan Blue. So why tell your own fans to be quiet?



What sucks about the celebration is not that he was 'silencing' a Steeler-friendly crowd, but that we know Gay is capable of doing something much more creative:
