Defensive Back Recruits Kris Boyd and Holton Hill Commit to University of Texas

Charlie Strong and the Texas Longhorns lost one recruiting battle to Texas A&M when quarterback Kyler Murray announced that he was still committed to the Aggies, but it looks like he has won a different battle.

His team may have trouble moving the ball next season, but with the help of his two newest committments, defensive backs Kris Boyd and Holton Hill, he'll be able to stop the opposition at least.

The duo announced that they were committing to the University of Texas Friday afternoon, a few days ahead of National Signing Day.

Texas is losing two defensive back starters, Quandre Diggs and Mykkele Thompson, to graduation and/or the NFL draft. So at least one of these two if not both should see time immediately.

At the least, recruiting them keeps an in-state rival from getting stronger.
