Rumor that Mother of Indianapolis Colts RB Trent Richardson Passed Away Not True

The last few days have been insane for Indianapolis Colts running back Trent Richardson. After missing a walk-through he has been ripped to shreds in the media and online. The criticism subsided when news spread that the family emergency he was dealing with was his mother passing away.

As it turns out that wasn't true.

According to his old college teammate Dre Kirkpatrick his mother is fine:

Just talk to Trent Richardson mothers she is ok so everybody relax

While that is good news the question still remains. So what caused him to do the unthinkable and miss a practice? Richardson has made it pretty clear he has no intention of sharing that information willingly with the world.

So maybe the new question should be whether the world will respect that and quit trying to find out.
