WATCH: Detroit Lions Rashean Mathis Lays Monster Hit on Cowboys WR Dez Bryant

Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Dez Bryant is a very valuable member of the team. He is an elite, game-changing kind of receiver that defenses have to plan for every time they take on the Cowboys. When the Detroit Lions were talking about what to do with him there was one thing that likely came up--hit him. Hit him hard and hit him often.

They probably say that about everybody, but early in the first quarter Sunday Lions defensive back did do just that. He hit Dez hard!

Yes, it was hard enough to make him fumble, but not hard enough to knock him senseless since he still had it together enough to get the ball back.

Did it effect his game? Doubtful (I can't read his mind; I can't say for sure). Bryant did have only three catches for 48 yards (43 of them coming on the beautiful play below), but there is a reason why football is a team game.

Take out one guy and that just leaves an opening for someone like Terrance Williams or Cole Beasley to work some magic. That Jason Witten guy isn't half bad either.

Hmmm...could these Cowboys actually be good?
