Hafthor Bjornsson--aka The Mountain from the Game of Thrones--Breaks 1000 Year Old Weight Lifting Record

As legend has it, Icelander Ormur Stórólfsson, carried the mast for his ship (a 30-foot long log weighing about 1433 pounds) on his own shoulders a few steps before it broke his back. It took 50 normal  people to get the log there. He was never the same again.

Hafthor Bjornsson, Europe's Strongest Man and a hopeful for the World's Strongest Man, gave the task a try this past weekend at the World's Strongest Viking Competitionqf.

So he did.

Having read up on him in the past I know he has a couple of bad knees from his basketball playing days, but I can't imagine the WWE not reaching out to the big man. Since he can lift that log I want to see him press The Big Show overhead.
