Packers NT Letroy Guion Arrested for Pot and Felony Weapons Charges in Florida

The NFL offseason is upon us and the players are wasting no time in doing what they are known for doing as soon as they step away from the gridiron--get arrested. The latest is Green Bay Packers defensive lineman Letroy Guion.

The deed went down in Florida and started out very simple as another case of bad driving or to be more precise, failure to maintain a single lane. When officers approached the car and smelled marijuana they knew it was going to be much more than that.

Guion admitted to having a 9mm in the car. After back-up arrived the cops had him get out of the car so they could search it. He became uncooperative and hostile as they searched his car and was worried that the police were going to steal his money. He had to be cuffed after he tried to rush the driver's side of the car to take a black bag out.

The bag was unzipped and contained a large bag of marijuanna. When the authorities were done searching the car they discovered over $190K and two large plastic bags of marijuana (357 grams).

The team has said it is aware of the situation, but has yet to say anything beyond that. Last season was Guion's first with the team. he had 32 tackles and 3.5 sacks.

Packers won't play games - guess BJR becomes more valuable after all!
