Website Calling for Seattle Seahawks Head Coach Pete Carroll to be Fired

It happens all the time when teams have a losing season or a down year. Thanks to the internet it is easy for fans to express their displeasure with the state of their team. Yes, they could do like Jets fans and pay for planes to drag banners across the sky during games and practice, but most are happy with just starting websites and complaining on Facebook and Twitter.

You know, websites like the one a Seattle fan started to express what is likely going to be an unpopular notion--firepetecarroll.com.

There isn't much up on the site, just a post of the interception that ended the Super Bowl and another of Richard Sherman's expression while watching the interception with the caption "Realizing Carroll will probably be coach next year too."

What more does this fan want? His/her team made it to the Super Bowl two years in a row and won one. He is 50-30 in five seasons with the team and has the club primed to get back to the big game again next season. Why would you want to fire a coach like that?

The notion would be completely ridiculous had it not been for the San Francisco 49ers letting Jim Harbaugh go this season. Harbaugh was 44-19 in four seasons and took the team to the NFC Championship in his first three seasons.

So there are owners dumb enough to ditch a winning coach. Is Seattle's Paul Allen one of them? I don't think so. You don't get to a point where you can afford an NFL franchise by making stupid decisions.
