Kurt Warner Making a Comeback?

Former Arizona Cardinals quarterback and current NFL Network studio personality Kurt Warner could have gotten us all pretty good yesterday if he wanted to. Remember last season when the Cardinals went from being a contender to a pretender because they couldn't field a healthy quarterback? Remember how folks wanted him to come out of retirement and save the team then?

Well--according to Warner someone actually asked him to come in for a workout while he was at Florida State reporting on Jameis Winston's Pro Day.

Apparently someone asked him to come in for a workout and for a brief moment he actually thought about it:

While it would be a crazy notion for someone so far removed from the game to come back there have been players that have played in to their 40's. Most of them are kickers of course (guys that next to never get hit), but there has been at least one quarterback that played in to his 40's in the not to distant past--Vinny Testaverde.

Vinny started when he was 44 for the Carolina Panthers in December 2007. If he could do it....

  1. The only pretender is anyone that thinks the Cardinals actually were still a legitimate contender with Drew Stanton and Ryan Lindley behind center--but thanks for reading Troll.
