Stephen A. Smith is one of those personalities that you either love or hate. He can be brash, loud, in your face, and unapologetic with his sometimes outlandish opinions. He can also be insightful and intelligent at times (just not on that crappy show he does with Skip Bayless). After the Houston Rockets made an improbable come from behind win over the Los Angeles Clippers Thursday night he did something kind of surprising.
He apologized.

Like most people in the media he thought Houston did not have a chance of pulling out Game 6 so when Houston did just that he took to Twitter to apologize for doubting Clutch City:
We've known for awhile you're a damn fool Stephen, but it is nice to hear you finally admit it.
The Clippers enjoying a 3-1 advantage looking on to a matchup against Golden State appeared to believe they could just show up to beat Houston. Now it is Houston moving onto the series & the Clippers going home in shock.
ReplyDeleteThe Rockets won the series but all the talk is about the Clippers, they lost.
DeleteThey got beat by the better team.
All these sports writers and commentators sound as though they are angry because the Clippers lost.
They keep picking the teams they want to win a talk them up like it will help them win, it won't.
It just makes them look like the fools that they are, I mean that in a good way.
How do the Clippers blow this? Seems like they are snake bitten.

ReplyDeleteAmazing how people who know nothing about sports get and keep these jobs. This guy is so clueless.
