Texas Rangers Prospect Joey Gallo Lives Up to the Hype in Spectacular Major League Debut [VIDEO]

Last year in the Futures Game Joey Gallo gave fans a taste of things to come with a pair of quality home runs. So when Adrian Beltre went down and had to go on the DL the team decided to give him a shot and see how he could do in the Show.

At the time of this posting--with what he has already done--it is safe to say that he has more than surpassed expectations with a spectacular debut.

In his first at-bat he got a single:

In his second he crushed a home run in to the second deck:

In the fifth he took a step closer towards hitting for the cycle by hitting a double:

He had a shot at hitting for the cycle in the sixth, but struck out instead. Should he not get another hit or another at-bat he will go 3-4 with a home run, a pair of runs, and four RBIs.

Not bad youngster. Not bad at all.
