When we think of ESPN's Body issue we think of some of the finest athletes in the world stripped down to less than their barest essentials with their unmentionables covered up rather strategically by an arm rest, baseball, football, bat, helmet, arm, well-placed long hair--you get the idea. It's supposed to be a celebration of the human form after all--not porn.
Typically the athletes featured are ripped, gorgeous people with hot bodies (with the infamous exception of Prince Fielder). It is pretty seldom that you will find someone (like Fielder) with a little extra insulation around his midsection--but this year you will in the form of three Indianapolis Colts offensive linemen.
Big is beautiful of course so this should not be that shocking, but it is. In year's past, 946 pounds of flesh made up the majority of the Body Issue roster. That is how much Castonzo (311 pounds), Mewhort (312 pounds) and Herremans (323 pounds) weigh in at.
Represent gentlemen. Represent.
Among the other athletes expected to be in the issue are Kevin Love, Odell Beckham Jr., and Bryce Harper.
