Josh McCown is a good quarterback. He is capable of leading a team to victory, and he is a gamer. He will do whatever it takes to win a game. However,  as a veteran of many years he should know by now that there are certain things you want to do and not do. You want to score, but you also want to remain healthy enough to play the next down.

So while trying to dive in to the end zone is an admirable play it is not a smart one for the journeyman quarterback who was hit hard and knocked out of the game.
