Kelvin Taylor should have known better. The throat slashing gesture has been a no-no in football for a long time. So when he did it anyway after scoring a touchdown his head coach should be mad at him (it cost the team 15-yards for unsportsmanlike conduct). So when Taylor got to the sideline Jim McElwain let him know just how angry he was.
However, in his desire to express himself McElwain went too far. There is no need to yell at a player with this much intensity in front of the whole team.
