WATCH: Stanford's Byrce Love Takes Screen Play 93-Yards For A Touchdown

Third down conversions are an important part of a winning offensive strategy. However, when it is third and very long the odds are against picking it up. Teams will often run a screen or draw play in hopes of gaining back some of the yards especially if they are backed up next to the end zone.

That is probably what Stanford had in mind when they ran this screen play on third and long. I think it is safe to say that every coach in football would like to convert third downs like this:
