WATCH: Texas Longhorns Freshman LB Malik Jefferson Returns Fumble For A Touchdown Against Rice

If the Texas Longhorns coaching staff is going to have a job at the end of the season it will be because of how their young freshman play this season. That is where the bulk of the talent is on the team so if they don't get it done the team is going to lose.

Two of them, defensive back Kris Boyd and linebacker Malik Jefferson did their part Saturday night against Rice. On this play Boyd disrupts the pitch which gave Jefferson a chance to recover the fumble and return it for a touchdown.

Texas went on to win 42-28.
