49ers LB NaVorro Bowman Remembers Seahawks Fans Throwing Popcorn At Him

There is a good chance San Francisco 49ers linebacker NaVorro Bowman might get a little emotional Sunday in Seattle. The game will mark the first time he has been back to Seattle since he suffered his gruesome knee injury back during the 2013 NFC Championship game that caused him to miss the entire 2014 season.

It has been a long time since that terrible day, but he still remembers it--and what some Seattle fans did.

In case you don't remember, when he was carted back to the locker room someone thought it would be cool to throw some popcorn on him.

He has every intention of returning to the very spot where the injury occurred, and he remember what the Seattle fans did the last time he was there. As could be expected, he is not real happy with them:
“I remember it, and that’s been with me for a while,” Bowman said on Friday. “No matter who gets hurt, you want to make sure they get back up on their feet and show some sign of respect that I don’t think the Seahawks fans did that at all.
The message h wants to send by returning the the scene of the crime: You can’t keep a good man down.

His focus is going to be on doing anything he can to help the team win the game, but he has admitted going back is going to stir up some emotions:
“I just want to win, but of course some emotions will be inside of me,” Bowman said. “(I) plan on revisiting the spot where I went down at and thanking God for a chance to be back out there.”
