Citadel Upsets South Carolina For First Win Over FBS Team In 28 Tries [VIDEO]

This is exactly the kind of game that Nick Saban likes to refer to, Yes, the Citadel is an FCS program, but they are a good one. Lately, South Carolina has shown some promise so even though it is a down year for the Gamecocks they should have been able to handle the Citadel--but they couldn't.

 Late in the game and backed up deep South Carolina appeared to make the go-ahead touchdown on a long play only to see it called back because of a penalty. The Gamecocks followed it up with a short pass over the middle on the last play of the game which the defense had no trouble covering. Citadel wins, 23-22, beating an FBS team for the first time in 28 tries.
