Jameis Winston: Matt Hasselbeck Makes Bald Look Good

Jameis Winston is a character. That much has been clear ever since he became a public figure back in his college days. With each passing week in the NFL he is looking more and more like he could be the real deal, and it looks like he may be doing it without losing his sense of humor.

Either that or he digs older, bald white guys.

Come Sunday the 21-year old Winston will try to follow up his record setting performance against Philadelphia with a win over 40-year old Matt Hasselbeck and the Indianapolis Colts. Recently Winston was talking about the match-up and expressed an appreciation for Hasselbeck.

Not for his game, but for his bald head:
"One thing about playing against old people is I could say that he was balding, but we've got so many bald-headed 20-year-olds on this roster, I can't even make [a] funny joke about it," Winston said Wednesday. "He looks better at the age of 40 than some of the young guys on our team."
How sweet.

When asked about Winston's comment Hasselbeck rolled with it and backed him up:
"That's very kind of him," Hasselbeck said. "I did not look good as a young player. I was balding. I'm bald now. But I was balding when I was a second- and third-year player in Green Bay and balding in Seattle, and it was just a really bad look. A good friend should have come to me and said, 'Hey, let it go, man. Shave the head,' or something. I had a bad look going when I was younger. I set the bar low."
They make nice and play off each other's jokes now, but come Sunday it will be all about chasing a playoff spot. Both teams are 5-5, but the Colts are in a better position since they can still win their division.

Carolina would have to have an epic breakdown for Tampa Bay to win their division, but the Bucs are still in the hunt for a wildcard spot if they can keep winning.
