Ohio State RB Ezekiel Elliot Want To Know Why The NCAA Wants To Pick On Him

Ohio State running back Ezekiel Elliot is having a great season. In spite of the Buckeyes inconsistencies on offense this year he has had a Heisman-caliber, and should he have a pretty good game against Michigan State and Michigan he could lock it up. However, in spite of his personal success and that of the team he still has one question he would like the NCAA to answer.

Why are you guys picking on me?

He said as much during a recent appearance on the Mike and Mike radio show and tweeted out the same sentiment (but has since deleted the tweet; but nothing ever truly disappears on the internet):

What is he talking about? Remember how the NCAA instituted a new rule stating that players could no longer where crop top jerseys? What the big deal is remains a mystery. It is doesn't give a player a competitive advantage. It's not a safety issues unless they are afraid seeing his abs will hurt the self-esteem of other players

He wants to know why the NCAA only seems to care about keeping him from showing off his abs. While on the radio show he said refs come up to him all the time and comment about his jersey, but they don't seem to say anything to Shawn Oakman or anyone else.

He has point, but in the end it all comes back to one question--what is the big deal? If the kid wants to show off his abs let him.
