TCU Nearly Completes Comeback Against Oklahoma With 3rd String QB Only To Lose After Failed 2-Point Attempt

TCU should have been blown out by Oklahoma. With TCU playing without its star quarterback and wide receiver the Sooner should have been able to win this one running away, but they didn't. They lost Baker Mayfield, but Trevor Knight played well in relief. The problem for the Sooners was so did TCU's third string quarterback Bram Kohlhausen.

After moving with seven late in the game, the TCU defense did its job and gave their offense the ball with about four minutes to play. With a little under a minute left on the clock TCU moved within a point with this touchdown:

That is where everything went to hell in a hand basket for TCU. Gary Patterson looked at is as his offense was kicking butt so why not go for two? He should have been thinking that Oklahoma has a good defense so h should play it smart, kick the extra point, and lean on his defense in overtime.
