TCU's Ty Summers Ejected For Targeting Hit On Baker Mayfield [VIDEO]

Too often we see clips of plays where targeting was called on a player, and it is hard to see why the ref called it. In the case of the hit TCU's Ty Summers put on Oklahoma Sooners quarterback Baker Mayfield the refs got the call 100 percent right.

This is a perfect example of what targeting is:

Mayfield finished the half, but the Sooners decided to opt on the side of caution and hold him out in the second. Former starting quarterback Trevor Knght played in his place. he started out making some good throws, but in the end he did not do enough.
