Fake field goal attempts can be great plays if run properly and at the right time. While the teams are changing sides of the field after the end of a quarter and the opposing team has a chance to see what personnel is coming on is not a good time. When you are playing a good team like the Seattle Seahawks it would be smarter to get points when you can anyway.

For some reason the Steelers opted to go for it at the start of the second quarter--and it failed miserably.
