Michigan State Beats Ohio State With Game Ending Field Goal By Michael Geiger [VIDEO]

When it was announced that Michigan State was going to sit quarterback Connor Cook against Ohio State fans of the Buckeyes probably felt pretty good about their team's chances against the Spartans. They had their guys, their defense, and they were widely expected to beat the Spartans with relative ease. However, the Spartans back-up quarterbacks, Tyler O'Connor and Damion Terry were determined to prove them wrong.

And they did.

The defense played its best game of the season for the Spartans shutting down Ezekiel Elliot (12 carries, 33 yards) and holding J.T. Barrett to just 87 total yards (43 passing and 44 rushing), and allowed only 14 points.

In the end it came down to the kicker--Michael Geiger. It wasn't the prettiest kick, but it was effective: MSU--17 OSU--14.

It will be interesting to see what happens to Ohio State in the polls next week. They finally play some good competition and lose. Could they fall out of the top four? We'll find out Tuesday night.
