The official word right now is that the team doesn't know for certain what is wrong:
Jason Garrett said the X-ray results on Romo's injured clavicle were inconclusive. More tests in the morning.

Apparently this is not unusual:
Understandable that X-rays inconclusive as only 2-dimensional. CT is 3-D and are any potential fracture lines. https://t.co/PeNQ2TwYWg

Just in case anyone needed to be told, ESPN stated the obvious:
While X-rays on Tony Romo collarbone inconclusive and more tests scheduled tomorrow, a source told me the QB is "done for the season."

After the game Romo said it felt the same as the last time he broke his collarbone.
Tony Romo at podium with left arm in sling: "It feels similar" to fracture he suffered in Philly that cost him 8 weeks on IR

At least now he'll have plenty of time to heal before the team does something stupid like put him back on the field too early.
