Rams Trot Out The First Trick Punt Play That Was Actually A Punt [GIF]

Fake punts have been getting a lot of attention lately; primarily because they have been complete disasters. For a brief moment it nearly appeared as if the Rams were going to add to that trend when they appeared to shift out of punt formation as if to go for it instead--but no! The trick was that there was no trick. They kicked it anyway.

I can't recall ever seeing a fake punt play that involved a punt so as far I know this is a first.
