Fans are fans no matter where they are or who they work for, and they all want to express their support of their team in one way or another. For some it is good enough to just wear team apparel to work, but for others that alone is not enough.
For the ground crew at Denver International Airport it was not enough to just put their jerseys on at work. They added a '1' to Runway 8 so the Patriots would know for certain that they were landing in Broncos Country (on runway 18; Manning's number):

This actually angered a lot of people who thought they were taking an unnecessary safety risk, but the Denver International Airport insisted it was just something in good fun and that no actual changes were being made:
