Carolina Panthers Gambling Ways Have Stolen Cam Newton’s Smile And Maybe The Season

Gambling can be fun. The thrill of winning something that would have otherwise been unattainable can be intoxicating, to say the least. Every Carolina Panthers fan knows that feeling all too well. “Riverboat” Ron and his gambling ways helped lead the team to the Super Bowl last year and the division title in each of the last three seasons.

However, at the same time, the agony of defeat that comes when a gamble doesn’t pay off can be soul crushing. Again, a feeling Carolina Panthers fans know all too well after seeing their team get decimated in the Super Bowl and off to a 1-5 start this season.

The look on Cam Newton’s face says it all.

  1. Yet all everyone wants to focus is how Cam behaved at the post game news conferences! go figure...If everyone on the Panthers had Cams drive and desire to win, the team could be undefeated! Cam is doing all he can, but the much vaunted D has let him and the team down. I mean those guys, though they may be rookies, are being paid well to do a job and they clearly are not. How do you let yourself get beat on deep balls time and time again, surely there has to be an answer, but the Panters coaches are not good enough to figure out what to do! Getterman is the one making the decisions and if he wants to build a winning football team he hs to look at more than JUST MONEY! I wouldnt' have paid Norman what he was asking, no DB is worth that, however, I would have keep the franchise tender on the table and not pull it at the last minute like Getterman did! He bares the blame for that! Where is their heart, why can't they dig deeper inside themselves and someone on D come up with a crucial stop to help the team win. The way they are playing now, they are putting to much pressure on the Offense to outscore teams each and every week and that is an impossible task even if you have Superman! One thing for sure, those DB's they have playing now, are clearly not ready, heck, from what I have seen, I could play DB as well as they have shown thus far! Those guys should, by now, have learned a trick or two to help themselves from getting beat time and time again, so clearly, they don't have any football savvy and that is one of the cruxes of the problem...no football sense! I feel sorry for Cam and the offense, they need help from the other side of the ball, just saying

    1. You're right--they should have absolutely kept Norman for one more season under the franchise tender. Cam is doing the best with what he has, but that defense..smh.
