I get it. You are a big fan of a team and an even bigger fan of their star player. You think you are going to be talking to your significant other one morning and find that you are also on the phone with the star player. I can see where you might not be paying attention to everything that your significant other is saying.
Which sucks for him if he is proposing.
That was the case for a member of the Air Force named Brian and his girlfriend Kim who apparently is a pretty big Cam Newton fan. Between going to class and getting serenaded by fans himself, Cam Newton hooked up with a local radio station to try and help Brian make his proposal to Kim a memorable one.
After he let Kim know that Brian had something to ask her she appeared to be focusing a little much on the fact that Cam Newton was on the line and totally failed to hear her boyfriend propose.
