Marquise Goodwin Fastest Man at Combine; in Line to Sign with Adidas

If teams are looking for speed in the coming draft according to what we'e seen at the Combine in Indianapolis the last few days there is going to be a whole lot available.

Two wide receivers were officially clocked at 4.34 seconds in the 40-yard dash (Tavon Austin of West Virginia and Ryan Swope of Texas A&M). Auburn running back Ontario McCalebb was also timed at 4.34.

Three other guys have been time under 4.4 (running back Knile Davis and wide receivers Josh Boyce and Kenny Stills).

There can only be one Fastest Man at the Combine though. This year the player that records the fastest official time has been promised an endorsement deal with Adidas. Ads are expected to promote Adidas's new lightweight cleats (less than 6 ounces).

So far that honor is expected to go to Texas wide receiver Marquise Goodwin. The former Olympic sprinter (yes, Olympic; shocker that he's fast) has the best time so far with 4.27 seconds.

With the defensive backs scheduled to go on Tuesday there is a chance this time could be beat, but there is no one that is expected to even come close.
