Soccer Player Scores on Passed Out Goalie

I've always heard that soccer is taken pretty seriously in other countries, but after watching and reading about this goal I think it is safe to say that some of these guys are flat out cold-hearted.

Down 2-1, Peruvian goalkeeper Juan  Flores stopped the ball and tried to pick it up only to pass out; it was later discovered that he was suffering from heat exhaustion at the time.

Apparently unconscious players on the field don't warrant a stop in play in Peru's top division. So with play still ongoing, as the ball slowly rolled out of the goalie's grasp a player from his own team and the opposition raced for it.

The opposition got there first and kicked it in for an easy goal and a 3-1 lead. The best part came later when an explanation was given as to why the goal was scored rather than seeing to a fallen player.

"Football is for the living."

Brutal. Simply brutal. And they call that the beautiful game?
