After a two year investigation by the NCAA, Miami
receives notice of allegations from the NCAA Tuesday and the possibility
of more sanctions with it.
The notice is the official record of charges that have been
levied against the university after an investigation into possible wrongdoing
by members of the athletic department. Chief among the charges is the “lack of
institutional control,” and is one of the more severe allegations the NCAA can
