When Carmelo Anthony was heading into his old home in Denver he had to be thinking, "Man, it sure would be nice to have an awesome night like Dwight Howard did when he went back to Orlando the other night--except I'm not going to act like a little child if people are mean to me..."
As could be expected, the people in the Mile High City were not real happy to see him, and it looked like it might have bothered poor Melo a little. He had an awful not from the floor before finally leaving the game early in the third with an injury.
Injuries could end factoring into the rest of the season and possibly the playoff picture for the Knicks. They've already lost Amar'e Stoudemire for the regular season due to injury. Tyson Chandler ended up leaving the game Wednesday night with an injury as well.
They would have to pretty much lose out in order to miss the playoffs (and even then they still might be able to make it), but if they don't get some healthy bodies back by then it could mean a quick exit will be in their postseason future.
