Dumevil is scheduled to make $12 million next season and according to John Elway it is simply "out of whack."
"It's not all about dollars. But when it's way out of whack? Then it's so out of whack that you've got to say: That (salary) can't be it. Especially when you look at the market and what's out there now," Elway told Kiszla. "It's so far out of whack. Hopefully, he realizes that."
So if anyone is out there and in need of a killer pass rush one of the best in the business is about to be on the market. The two sides have till 2PM today to come to some kind of agreement.
While I can understand Dumervil's reluctance, he may want to consider the opportunity to win the Super Bowl next year. After a full healthy off-season with the team and the addition of Wes Welker to the receiving corp the Broncos are an easy favorite for the Super Bowl next season.
Just think how much you can get Elvis if you take one for the team and help it win a Super Bowl ring next season. Barring injury you can still get paid next off-season...
