Every year when the NFL Combine rolls through Indianapolis the inner-voyeur in every football fan comes out. It’s not compelling or even entertaining television, but there is something about seeing who runs the best 40-yard dash, bench presses 225-pounds the most, or can jump really far.
It is not the best television in the world, but we watch it anyway. Why? Because we want to say we saw the stars of tomorrow before they were stars.
Like Texas Longhorn wide receiver Marquis Goodwin and Texas A&M wide receiver Ryan Swope.
Goodwin has the distinction of being the fastest man at the Combine this year with an official time of 4.27 seconds in the 40-yard dash, .03 seconds off Chris Johnson’s record of 4.24. This year that will get him more than just bragging rights. Adidas has promised to sign the Combine’s fastest player to a contract….(for full post follow link to MVP Texas)
