Ray Lewis Joins the Crew on ESPN--Needs Some Work

There is no doubt about it--Ray Lewis is one of the greatest linebackers to play the game; at least in the modern era if not in the history of the game.So when the man decided to retire from the game he was an obvious pick up for ESPN.

They like to get former players to become analysts, so why not the most well-known, newly retired and very vocal Ray Lewis? Maybe because not everyone is comfortable putting on the suit and hoping behind a desk.

Eh.

He is a world class leader (on the football field) as well as one of the best motivators to ever lace up cleats and put on a helmet. Is it just me or did this not sound like a natural fit for him.

Word is that he will be apart of the Monday Night Countdown and Sunday NFL Countdown teams. Maybe when he is more in his element he will be fine, but his first foray left something to be desired.

If anyone can get the job done with a little coaching though, it's Ray Lewis. Come on Stuart Scott! Where you at man?
