So what's the problem? It actually has nothing to do with what you are thinking.
The problem has nothing to do with her sexual identity, but with her application to become licensed to fight in Florida. On it she indicated that she had been given a license in California. In reality, her application with them was still pending.
So did she misrepresent herself on her Florida application or was it just a simple misunderstanding?
Call me cynical, but the need for an investigation seems a little ridiculous. It appears to be nothing more than a simple mistake. So why the dog and pony show? Could it have something to do with her sexual identity?
Apparently it was not known that she was a transgender individual. She had the surgery done back in 2006 along with the requisite hormone therapy.
Of course now that the story has broke her secret is out.
Is it possible that now they know her background the Commission wants to question her license and they are using this as an excuse? Hopefully that is not the case, but it would not be shocking.
Of course without a license she can't fight. She was scheduled to get back in the ring in April, but that bout has now been cancelled by her promoter so she can concentrate on dealing with the investigation.
