With free agency officially getting underway on Tuesday the New York Giants needed to get something done in
regards to star wide receiver Victor Cruz.
Unable to come to an agreement, they opted to put a first
round tender on Cruz. This means that if anyone else signs him that they will
have to give the Giants a
first round pick.
For Cruz it means that he will at least get bumped up to
just under $3 million for next season should the Giants not sweeten the offer
(or no one else offer anything better).
When you consider he made just over half a million last
season and $1.3 million during his first three seasons that is not bad.
However, when you factor in his production it seems like the Giants are in
position to get a steal on Cruz...(for full post follow above link to PlayerPress.com!)
