Vince Young to Workout at Texas Longhorns Pro Day

I guess when you led the team to a national title not too long ago it is reasonable to assume that the head coach might feel obliged to try and help you out a little. That must be why Texas Longhorns head coach is allowing his former star workout at the team's up coming Pro Day.
There has already been talk that the former UT great was on campus taking classes, and trying to help teach some of the current Longhorns a thing or two about leadership.

Don't laugh. He was pretty good at it once upon a time (just not as a pro).

Okay--laugh a little.

It will be interesting to see if Young garners any attention fro scouts while he is there. The NFL is pretty up to date on what he is capable of--on and off the field. While he did have some moments of brilliance behind center for the Titans (known in Philly or Buffalo), his off-field issues namely his tantrums and inability to get along with his head coach overshadows them.

For his sake, I hope he is working out like a beast while he's on campus. The only thing that I can imagine saving his career from being over are excellent numbers during the Pro Day--close to his numbers prior to when he was drafted--or Chip Kelly thinking he could run his style of offense.

And the moral of the story kids is this--stay in school.
