Free agency has seen a lot of crazy stuff in just two days, but nothing crazier than this late breaking tidbit--Wes Welker is leaving New England to go play for the Denver Broncos.
From what the World Wide Web is telling me the Broncos got for $12 million over two years--a steal when you consider the body of work this guy has had over the last few years. Last season alone, when the Patriots were trying to phase him out, he had 118 catches for 1354 yards and six touchdowns.
Five of the last six seasons saw this man grab over 100 balls (with 1000+ yards in each of those seasons). With Peyton Manning throwing him the ball he will do just as good if not better.
Good luck to the rest of the NFL trying to beat these guys. If you thought it was tough last year, its just going to be tougher next!
