Chris Bosh Leads Miami Heat to Win over San Antonio

A few days ago Sunday night's game between the Miami Heat and San Antonio Spurs was being looked upon as the key to the Heat's winning streak. Then the Bulls killed the winning streak and turned it into just another match-up between two of the top teams in the NBA.

Then the Heat sat Dwayne Wade, LeBron James, and Mario Chalmers;the Spurs sat Manu Ginobili effectively making this just another game.



Don't tell Chris Bosh that. Playing with Dwayne Wade and LeBron James often causes him to go largely unnoticed, but on Sunday he got the chance to show that he too is a superstar in the NBA that is capable of leading his team to victory.

And lead it to victory he did.

Down by one and with the last few seconds of the game ticking away the Heat looked to put the ball into Ray Allen's hands, but when the Spurs defense had that covered Allen kicked the ball out to Bosh who sank a 25-footer to give the Heat a 88-86 lead and the win.

"We are the defending champs no matter who we put out there," Bosh said. "We are still the Miami Heat..."

The last time these two teams met the Heat won that game as well, a nationally televised game, 105-100. The Spurs drew the ire of the league for sending their star home rather than play them. San Antonio ended up being fined $250,000 for the move.

A law suit was brought against the Spurs as well, claiming that the team violated the Florida Deceptive and Unfair Trade Practices Act. The suit has since been voluntarily dismissed.
