This is one of those case where the picture really does say 1000 words--and none of them spoke to kindly of Purdue QB Robert Marve.
The exchange went down during the tail end of the draft on Saturday as the team prepared to draft Mr. Irrelevant, the final player taken in the draft. Last year the Colts had the honor as well and took Northern Illinois quarterback Chandler Harnish.
Now it does not make sense to take another QB unless the team is unhappy with Andrew Luck, newly signed Matt Hasselbeck, and Harnish in any way. They are clearly happy with Luck, they just signed Hasselbeck, and I've heard nothing bad about Harnish. So there is no need for a QB.
I am sure that Mitch is either a Purdue fan or for some reason really likes Marve, and as a fan it's cool that he go out on a limb and ask that Marve be taken. Fans are suppose to support their players....
