The Denver Nuggets are one of the most entertaining young teams in the NBA. Unlike another very entertaining team, they can do it with more than just a few hundred well-placed dunks (love your work Lob City). They proved that Wednesday night in a 113-96 win over the Utah Jazz.
Like on this play in the fourth quarter when Danilo Gallinari throws up an apparent prayer that finds its way to the basket:
Of course there is absolutely nothing wrong with throwing down with some acrobatic dunks. Next to Lob City I don;t think anyone does it better than the Nuggets (and the Miami Heat).
Take Kenneth Faried and this alley-oop from half court:
Or this play by Andre Iguodala:
It's almost a shame that the Nuggets and Clippers are No. 3 and No. 4 in the West. Can you imagine the show these guys would put on if they were playing each other in a best of seven series? Would anyone even bother trying anything, but a dunk?
