Hockey Fans Make You Proud to be an American

I dare anyone to watch this clip and not tear up a little bit. It's impossible. I've tried it a few times and each time I find myself glad to be watching this alone (because if I was at the gym right now watching it on Sportcenter they would think--"Oh, no. The Fat Guy is crying on the elliptical machine again).

Anyway...



In an interview Thursday morning, Rene Rancourt, the singer in the clip had this to say about that moment:

“As I was getting ready, warming up my voice during the day — because it’s not that easy a song to do — I found myself breaking up and tearing up while I was practicing,” Rancourt told Dennis & Callahan on Thursday morning. “I said, ‘Gee, I don’t know if I can get through this thing.’”

So he said he invited the fans to sing along with him.
